Foundation Alumni Publications

“Backward Walking Measures Are Sensitive to Age-Related Changes in Mobility and Balance,” by Fritz NE, Worstell AM, Kloos AD, Siles AB, White SE, and Kegelmeyer DA, was published online in Gait & Posture on November 1, 2012. Nora E. Fritz, PT, DPT, was awarded a Florence P. Kendall Scholarship in 2010. Anne D. Kloos, PT, PhD, NCS, was awarded Doctoral Training Research Grants in 1994, 1995, and 1996. Fritz's contribution to this research was supported in part by the Foundation.

“Severity of Coexisting Patellofemoral Disease Is Associated With Increased Impairments and Functional Limitations in Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis,” by Farrokhi S, Piva SR, Gil AB, Oddis CV, Brooks MM, and Fitzgerald GK, was published online in Arthritis Care & Research on October 8, 2012. Shawn Farrokhi, PT, DPT, PhD, was awarded Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) I scholarships in 2005 and 2006 and PODS II scholarships in 2008 and 2009. G. Kelley Fitzgerald, PT, PhD, OCS, FAPTA, was awarded Doctoral Training Research Grants in 1995 and 1997 and a Sports Physical Therapy Section Grant in 2000.

“SenseWear Armband and Stroke: Validity of Energy Expenditure and Step Count Measurement During Walking,” by Manns PJ and Haennel RG, was published online in Stroke Research and Treatment on October 11, 2012. Patricia J. Manns, PT, PhD, was awarded a PODS II scholarship in 2001.
