Recent Publications by Foundation Alumni

“Measuring Movement Symmetry Using Tibial-Mounted Accelerometers for People Recovering From Total Knee Arthroplasty,” by Christiansen CL, Bade MJ, Paxton RJ, and Stevens-Lapsley JE, was published in Clinical Biomechanics (2015;30:732–737). Cory L. Christiansen, PT, PhD, was awarded a Marquette Challenge Research Grant in 2011. Michael J. Bade, PT, PhD, FAAOMPT, OCS, was awarded a Florence P. Kendall Doctoral Scholarship in 2008, a Promotion of Doctoral Studies (PODS) I scholarship in 2010, and a PODS II scholarship in 2011. Jennifer E. Stevens-Lapsley, PT, MPT, PhD, was awarded a PODS I scholarship in 2000, a PODS II scholarship in 2001, and a Marquette Challenge Research Grant in 2007. The contributions of Christiansen and Bade to this research were supported in part by the Foundation.

“Implications of Early and Guideline Adherent Physical Therapy for Low Back Pain on Utilization and Costs,” by Childs JD, Fritz JM, Wu SS, Flynn TW, Wainner RS, Robertson EK, Kim FS, and George SZ, was published in BMC Health Services Research (2015;15:150). John D. Childs, PT, PhD, MBA, FAPTA, OCS, was awarded a PODS I scholarship in 2001 and a Marquette Challenge Research Grant in 2004. Julie M.
